1. Where is the manufacturing facility located?
We have our manufacturing facilities located in Dong guan in southern part of China. The facility is located about 75 miles north of Hong Kong and it takes less than 2 hours to go from Hong Kong to our facility. We also have an office in Hong Kong.

2. Do you have an office in USA?
We have our North American sales and marketing office in Long Island, New York. Our office is open from 8 AM to 8 PM six days a week. Our office in USA is also responsible for managing all the projects and keeping a smooth communication with the customers on regular basis.

4. What are the major benefit for my company to consider your company for design and manufacturing services?
Hi-Tech has been in business for over 15 years and we have extensive experience in injection mold and molding, sheet metal stage and progressive stamping. In addition, we provide extensive secondary operations in-house that include painting, silk-screening, pad printing, ultra-sound welding etc. But this all will not be so significant without our talented and dedicated engineering personnel. We will not be able to grow unless our customers do. Our philosophy is to grow by serving our customers. References of our work & our partners can be provided to you upon request.

5. Do you do metal stamping?
Yes, we have over 200,000 SQ. FT. facilities dedicated to producing metal related parts only.

6. What advantage do I have for going overseas for my tooling & production requirements?
You can realize a substantial savings by going to China without compromising the lead-time and quality. The benefit comes by utilizing a low cost talented workers and enormous resources in the field of new product manufacturing. The lead-time for tool making is shorter and most of the raw material is readily available due to China being the major manufacturing center at present in the entire world.

7. How do I ensure that my company's stringent quality level will be met?
Hi-Tech has been certified by ISO standard since 1997 and currently posses ISO 9001 certifications. Also, Hi-Tech expects to get QS9000 certification before the end of this year.

8. How do I manage all my projects knowing that there is a 12 hours time difference between North America and China?
You do not need to wake up late in the evening to call China for all your projects. You can coordinate all your project related activities through our USA office in New York during the normal business hours.

9. What other services can you offer so I can sleep peacefully without any worries?
Hi-Tech is presently doing much more than just manufacturing of plastics or metal parts. We also provide complete assembly services to various customers. Therefore, we have an approved source for PCB manufacturing, Die Cast Parts, and other electro-mechanical parts including packaging. We will take responsibility of managing these parts to ensure timely deliveries so the project does not suffer. Essentially, We can manage the entire project for you from designing and manufacturing of individual parts to the final assembly.

10. What are the quality standards that your company implements and complies to?
As indicated earlier, we are an ISO 9001 company and each job is carefully managed based upon ISO 9001 requirements. However, we can also work with your quality standards to ensure that each shipment is carefully quality controlled. A minimum of 1.33 Cpk is measured for each job.

11. What are the other costs associated with the shipping and customs?
The customer is responsible for the freight and custom charges. They usually accounts for 5% of the total FOB cost for an average delivery. However, it can vary depending upon the type and size of the shipments. We can either work with your freight forwarder or provide our freight forwarder for production shipments. In general, we use the common carrier such as DHL, FedEx, and UPS for small deliveries.

12. Do you provide the export grade injection mold and sheet metal tools? And what are the countries you are presently serving?
At present, we are shipping over 125 export grade harden injection molds (RC 48-52) to various countries including USA, Canada, Europe etc.

14. What are the common types of tools you are capable of producing?
From a very simple single cavity tool to very complex with single or multiple 2,4, 8,16, or 32 cavities tool. We also have an extensive experience of working with hot runner systems and stacked molds. We are also experienced in designing gas-assisted tooling.

15. How many tools do you make annually?
In 2002 alone, we expect to make over 500 various types and sizes of injection molds.

16. How many parts do you inject annually?
We have injected over 15 million parts in 2001 alone and expect to surpass this figure in 2002.

17. Who do you purchase the raw materials?
We only purchase raw materials from companies such as Dupont, GE, Bayer, and Samsung etc. We would not use low grade locally manufactured raw materials for any projects.

18. What steel types do you commonly use for making molds?
We are able to handle wide range of materials from aluminum through P20 into harden S-7 and H-13 steel. We also make prototype molds using epoxy and aluminum.

20. What software program do you use for tool making and design work?
Our engineering department is full equipped with the state of the art computers with CAD/CAM/CAE/FEA. Our facility has UNIGRAPHIC, SOLID WORKS, MECHANICAL DESKTOP, MASTER-CAM, PRO-ENGINEER, I-DEAS, AND AutoCAD software to handle all your design and analysis requirements. In addition, we have an in-house MoldFlowTM analysis and are capable of reading and converting 3D data files from any design software (no need to generate drawings). Fully capable of reading IGES, DXF, STL, STEP, etc.

21. What is the average lead-time for providing the first tool off samples?
Most of the first time tool-off samples can be delivered within 6 weeks. However, for large and complex programs, the tooling lead-time would be proportionally longer.
